Ukrainian Historical Encounters Series Event: Ukraine at 30

Join us on Saturday, September 18th at this Ukrainian Historical Encounters Series Event, entitled, “Ukraine at 30.”

The gathering is scheduled to run several presentations grouped in three sessions: Prelude – Three Maidans and a War – A Glimpse Forward.

The full-day conference will bring together panelists who will take a fresh, critical look at the myriad of circumstances that led to the declaration of an independent Ukraine in 1991 and shaped Ukraine’s present course as an aspiring member of the Euro-Atlantic community. The forum will highlight the three great manifestations of popular will, known as the ‘Maidans’ as well as Ukraine’s unwanted conflict with its northern neighbor simply labelled ‘the War’ as focal points in the discussions.

The full program of the proceeding, with a list of the distinguished invited speakers, is provided below. We hope you will join us for this important gathering – celebrating Ukraine’s 30thanniversary of Renewed Independence.
