Long Island Ukrainian Americans unite to aid homeland

Roughly 40 Ukrainian Americans and local elected leaders rallied outside the Killenworth mansion in Glen Cove Saturday to protest Russia’s invasion of Ukraine last week. Among them was Volodymyr Tsyalkovsky, far left, holding the Ukrainian flag, who started Ukrainian Americans of Long Island three years ago. The mansion serves as a vacation home for Russian diplomats in the United Sates.
