March of Remembrance: 90^th Anniversary of Holodomor

This Saturday, November 19^th, the Ukrainian-American community will mark the 90^th anniversary of the Holodomor, Stalin’s 1932-1933 famine genocide in Ukraine.

Join a solemn procession beginning in the East Village.

Start: 10:00 AM at St George Ukrainian Catholic Church (30 East 7^th Street)
Procession route: 2.5 miles up the 3^rd Av
End: St Patrick‘s Cathedral (5^th Av)

1:00 PM – a Requiem service sung by The Ukrainian Chorus Dumka of New York at St Patrick’s Cathedral

Please wear embroidered shirts or dark and muted tones.

We encourage everyone to bring and carry with them a stalk of wheat.

Do not bring any wooden, metal, or plastic rods please.
