Upholding Humanity is a Long Island based interfaith coalition made up of local faith leaders on Long Island. The group is currently working on an initiative to resettle Afghan, Salvadoran, and Ukrainian refugees to Queens and Long Island. Through a network of volunteers, religious institutions, and advocacy groups, our support has reached over 38 individuals resettling in the United States. Our efforts were recently featured in an article of The New York Times Magazine entitled “They Fled Danger for New York. When Will Their New Lives Start?”
